NOTE: This interview was recorded on March 2nd, prior to release of the Republican Plan to replace the affordable care act, therefore there’s no discussion of what’s in that newly proposed legislation. In his first address to a joint session of Congress, President Trump once again called Obamacare “a disaster,” and called on Democrats to work with Republicans to repeal and replace the health care law. Ironically, recent polls reveal that the law is more popular than ever now that it’s poised for repeal. So what’s the likely future of the Affordable Care Act—and what’s at stake for Pennsylvanians? We’ll talk about that with Patrick Keenan, policy director of the Pennsylvania Health Access Network.
