DON'T MISS more of our conversation with potter Roberto Lugo. He talks about his early graffiti career, the popularity of his work today, and about how his early experiences influence his work.
As a teenager, ceramacist Roberto Lugo saw a crumbling brick wall in his north Philly neighborhood as a canvas for personal expression. Today, the potter, social activist, spoken-word poet and educator with "an aesthetic all his own," is a ceramics professor at Marlboro College in Marlboro, VT. He earned his MFA at Penn State.
