U.S. Route 322

Saying it has the least impact on agricultural lands, displaces the fewest homes and avoids the headwaters of Spring Creek, PennDOT is recommending the Central alternative for the U.S. Route 322 State College Area Connector Project.

PennDOT will present its preferred option for the U.S. Route 322 State College Area Connector project at a meeting scheduled for 4-8 p.m. on May 8 at the Wyndham Garden State College, 310 Elks Club Rd, Boalsburg.

PennDOT plans to hold a public meeting in May on the State College Area Connector project in May, with the specific date and location to be announced.

PennDOT is no longer considering a new road connecting U.S. Route 322 and State Route 45 in southern Centre County, as it continues the process of narrowing down the options for overhauling a section of U.S. Route 322.

PennDOT plans to set up traffic counting equipment on U.S. Route 322 and state Route 45 near Boalsburg this week.

The public will have a chance to learn more about the options PennDOT is considering for overhauling U.S. Route 322 in southern Centre County, including the possibility of a new road connecting Route 322 to Route 45. Public meetings will take place 5-8:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
