Central Pennsylvania born and raised, Hannah Bingman has developed into one of the region’s leading musicians. A gifted songwriter and story-teller, Bingman’s intimate vocals are a buoyed with subtle skill on guitar. Bingman’s songs tell stories and often give voice to the concerns of the everyday people in the rural communities that shaped her as an artist.She is joined for the Pub Hang by John “JK” Kennedy on the upright bass, a talented player known to all. Local favorite, Sean Hershey joins on percussion complementing Bingman on her acoustic and electric sounds

The first half hour (2:00-2:30) is especially geared towards new and beginning players. So if you are just learning or having difficulty with something, come right at the beginning – and let us know!

Baltimore-born and bluegrass-bred, The Dirty Grass Players, fast pickin' tradition mixed w/ fearless creativity that pushes the boundaries!The Dirty Grass Players have established themselves as a national touring band with one toe-tappin’ foot in traditional bluegrass while pushing boundaries towards progressive jam-grass.
Comprised of Connor Murray on Bass, Alex Berman on Banjo, Ben Kolakowski with the guitar, and Ryan Rogers on mandolin, this four-piece is successfully bringing their growing fanbase a down & dirty performance. Their ability to seamlessly transition from down-home bluegrass to spirited improvisation makes each performance unique. Throw in some Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, and Hot Rize, and you’ll quickly understand what they mean by 'dirty grass'.
Their inaugural self-titled album was released around the same time they won the 2017 Charm City Bluegrass & Folk Festival Band Competition. For the next few years, they successfully toured the Mid-Atlantic with festival and headline appearances all over the East Coast and support slots for the likes of the Travelin' McCoury's, Cabinet, and their hometown hero Cris Jacobs. In 2019, amid a busy touring schedule, they released their 2nd studio album, “Beneath the Woodpile”. Put together with alluring melodies, the band presents a sound precisely at the crossroads of traditional and progressive bluegrass.Now, with a tour schedule of over 120 dates in 2022, they're getting ready to release their 3rd studio album, produced by Cody Kilby (the Travelin' McCoury's). They're making their way across the country with many festival dates along the way, so catch them where you can and let's get dirty!

The Wicked Chicken plays a mix of driving rock ’n’ roll, old-time fiddle and blues. Armedwith exciting new material, a powerful groove and a unique sound, the Wicked Chickenwill surprise and captivate audiences of all varieties. The foundation of the band are theTritsch brothers: Gus (guitar, vocals and fiddle) and Huck (drums, percussion andfiddle). The two have performed with distinguished musicians including the rock bandMarah, and have earned recognition at various festivals and competitions including theAppalachian String Band Music Festival, known as Clifftop. In 2019, Huck Tritsch wonfirst prize in the youth fiddle competition at Clifftop, and the Wicked Chicken placedsecond in the neo-traditional band competition. Gus Tritsch won the prize for bestoriginal fiddle tune as well. Most recently, Gus Tritsch toured with Jake Blount, adistinguished fiddle and banjo player from Providence, R.I. With Blount’s band, GusTritsch traveled extensively, including to Florida, Alaska and the United Kingdom. TheWicked Chicken is constantly exploring different influences and sounds, and you neverknow what you might hear at any one show. But whether it’s old-time fiddle music, northMississippi blues or driving rock ’n’ roll, The Wicked Chicken will play it with creativity,rhythm and soul.
