September is National Suicide Prevention Month. According to the CDC, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death.

The rate of suicidal ideations has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic due to increased stress and isolation., .

If you or someone you know is depressed, hopeless, and more socially isolated, reach out to a healthcare provider for help. If someone expresses thoughts of self-harm or suicide, act immediately. Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. It’s free and confidential.
