Ari Shapiro's last day as host of NPR's All Things Considered is Friday, September 26. He leaves NPR to pursue other interests, including plenty of singing.

Friday, September 26 at 11:00 a.m. and Monday, September 29 at 8:00 p.m., “Music for the High Holidays” is a special for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The show includes traditional and composed music from Jewish liturgy, including violinist Itzhak Perlman in a performance of “Kol Nidre.” Host Naomi Lewin also explains a bit about the Jewish new year and its traditions.
Every Monday, poet Marjorie Maddox will read a poem from a contemporary Pennsylvania poet. Listen Monday mornings at 7:45 and Monday afternoons at 4:44, beginning September 15.
