Do you have medication that isn’t needed anymore? Saturday, October 23 is the next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Across the nation, law enforcement agencies and health care organizations will accept unused prescription drugs for proper disposal.
The Centers for Disease Control reports over 70,000 deaths annually related to drug overdoses and that number is suspected to be much higher due to underreporting.
If you can’t make it on October 23 to a local collection site, check your community resources for year-long drop-off locations.
For more information on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, please visit the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day website, or check with your local law enforcement agencies.
