The alleged gunman behind Saturday's deadly mass shooting at Tree of Life Congregation synagogue in Squirrel Hill faced formal arraignment Monday on 29 federal counts, including hate crimes, which could carry a death penalty. RobertBowers, 46 of Baldwin, also faces state charges: 11 counts of criminal homicide, six counts of aggravated assault and 13 counts of ethnic intimidation.
Eleven people died and six others were injured in the attack. Their funerals began Tuesday.90.5 WESA legal analyst David Harris and reporter An-Li Herring discuss how the case against Bowers will proceed.
