A major overhaul of the Transportation Security Administration is underway, following revelations that undercover investigators were able to smuggle mock explosives and weapons through security gates at major American airports.
TSA agents failed 67 out of 70 covert tests, including one in which an agent posing as a passenger managed to get through security with a fake bomb taped to his back.
In the wake of the report, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson has reassigned Melvin Carraway, the acting administrator of the TSA, and said he plans to meet with executives from airport security developers.
