CBS And HBO To Offer Stand Alone Online Streaming Services

CBS today announced plans to launch a new stand alone online streaming service that does not require a cable or satellite subscription.

At $5.99 a month, CBS All Access would allow people in certain markets to watch CBS Live TV programming, with the exception of NFL games, and thousands of past shows on demand.

It’s the first such move from a traditional broadcaster and it comes a day after HBO said it would start an internet-only service.
