Maj. Sajjad al-Hour has been fighting for nearly half his life. Today, he commands 150 soldiers through the streets of Mosul.

A video from The New York Times documents what al-Hour is doing, and shows the nature of the brutal street-to-street fighting as Iraqi troops try to retake the city from ISIS, a fight that started last October.
