All Things Considered Host and Operations Director

Craig Johnson is your local host for weekday All Things Considered. Craig makes his home in the State College area with his wife, daughter and son. He’s been involved in radio broadcasting since 1977 when he got a part-time job while still in high school at a radio station in Somerset, PA. He graduated from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA with a BA in music. (And he can play the guitar just like ringin’ a bell)

The concert features the Penn State student ensemble Frames of Reference, featuring Chris O’Brien on trumpet/flugelhorn, Greg Bukovitch on bass, Chris Rosendale on alto sax, Jacob Burnat on tenor sax, Alex Cooper on keyboards, and Ian Willick on drums.  The concert was supported in part by Friends of Palmer Museum and Fred and Judy Sears.

Trumpeter/Vocalist Benny Benack has gained a reputation for being incredibly versatile. He has won every major jazz trumpet competition including the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Soloist Competition (2011), International Trumpet Guild Jazz Competition (2011), and the National Trumpet Competition - Jazz Division (2012).
