Did Morning Edition sound different to you today? NPR has changed its "clocks" (the schedule templates stations have to use to time the show's news stories, credits, PSAs, etc.). Some things you might notice are shorter segments, more regular breaks, and more frequent newscasts. There will also be some changes in the All Things Considered lineup.
