WPSU’s Health Minute is a collaboration with Penn State’s Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing.
May is National Nurses Month, and this year’s theme is “Nurses Make a Difference.” In a yearly Gallup poll, nurses have ranked as the most trusted profession for 20 years in a row.
There are more than 4 million Registered Nurses in the United States. Nurses make a difference in all of our lives by demonstrating sensitivity and understanding of diverse cultures and care needs. Nurses can provide high quality patient care in all health care settings and in our communities.
Nurses have earned gratitude and support for the difference they make in caring for others. For more information visit the American Nurses Association Nurses Month website.
