Pennsylvania House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff said in a statement Monday that he tested positive for COVID-19.

Benninghoff said he was fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and was tested before Thanksgiving after developing mild symptoms.

“My symptoms are mild, and I am working from home as my offices in Bellefonte, Reedsville and Harrisburg continue to serve the people of the 171st District,” he said in the statement.

A House GOP release said Benninghoff has not been in the Capitol since Nov. 18 and has been quarantining since his test last week.
