U.S. Congressman Glenn "GT" Thompson has been released from Walter Reed Medical Center after testing positive for COVID-19, according to a press release from his office. They say he is vaccinated, but got tested after experiencing cold-like symptoms. He was treated at Walter Reed on Friday “out of an abundance of caution” and released Friday night.
He returned to his home in Pennsylvania to recover. He plans to work virtually from home this week.
Thompson’s 15th district covers a large portion of Central Pennsylvania, including Clearfield, Cameron, Elk, McKean, Warren, Forrest and part of Centre County.
