In Yemen, A Cholera Outbreak Ravages An Already Devastated Country

A cholera outbreak in Yemen has killed more than 1,300 people since it began in April. The World Health Organization says the country faces the world’s worst outbreak of the disease and more than 300,000 people could be infected by the end of August.

Here & Now‘s Peter O’Dowd speaks with Johannes Bruwer (@JohannesBruwer1) of the International Committee of the Red Cross, who explains how Yemen’s ongoing civil war fueled the outbreak.
