Wellnessw Wednesday: Qigong and Outdoor Mindfulness

Wellnessw Wednesday: Qigong and Outdoor Mindfulness

Wellness Wednesday: Qigong and Outdoor Mindfulness, led by: Stephanie Koller, The Weather Vein

Registration is required. Registration opens 7 days before the event.

This Qigong and Outdoor Mindfulness class offers a gentle introduction to Qigong in an outdoor setting. Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that integrates movement, breath work, and mindfulness to cultivate qi (vital energy). It involves slow, deliberate movements coordinated with deep breathing, aiming to improve circulation, flexibility, balance, and overall well-being. Taking place outdoors, this practice enables participants to connect with nature and experience the invigorating effects of gentle movement, fresh air and natural beauty. Benefits include reduced stress, increased mental and physical well-being, improved balance, and a deeper connection with themselves and the natural world. No experience necessary, everyone is welcome to attend.

Transportation: Limited free transportation is available from State College. You must RSVP to this event BEFORE registering for transportation.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so the program can begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

Directions: Set GPS for 125 Beach Rd, Howard, PA 16841, USA. Enter main park entrance at Route 150. Follow Main Park Rd. to Skyline Drive. Turn right onto Skyline Drive, head towards the left side parking area. Pavilion 6 is at the end of the left side parking area.

About the Presenter:
Certified in both yoga and qigong, Stephanie is also a Pennsylvania Forest Steward as well as a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist. Professionally, she works as an artist and continues yoga practice at The Weather Vein. Her workshops playfully connect nature with the healing and expressive arts.
