Everyone is invited to celebrate the winter season in the H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens! Beginning Friday evening, December 9, lighted trees will be featured at the Overlook Pavilion, in the children’s garden, and along the walkway around the central lawn. Winter planters and seasonal displays will be placed throughout the gardens. A tall tree constructed of strings of lights will be installed at the main fountain and visible from Park Avenue. In the glass house in the children's garden, a festive tree will be decorated with ornaments made by on-campus childcare centers and local scouting troops. Lights will remain on until 9 p.m. each night from December 9 through early January. Attendance is free.
