The Problem Of Hygiene Theater During COVID-19

Businesses and schools are touting deep cleaning exercises as evidence that they’re protecting employees, staff and kids from getting COVID-19.

But Derek Thompson, staff writer at The Atlantic, says that kind of hygiene theater distracts from the real problem — that the coronavirus primarily spreads through the air.
