As businesses begin to reopen in parts of the U.S., it could still be a while before cruises are up and running as the industry faces multiple challenges. Countries are debating whether to even let ships port.
Then there is the issue of labor: 100,000 crew members are still trapped on ships. Many have been out to sea for at least two months, some are sick and there have been at least two apparent suicides.
