Monsanto, the company that makes the weed killer Roundup, was hit with a $2 billion verdict in a trial that linked the product to cancer. A California couple, both diagnosed with cancer, blamed their lymphoma on the use of Roundup on their property. Their courtroom victory is one of the largest product-defect verdicts in U.S. history, and the third time since 2018 a court has ruled against Monsanto on this issue.
