'Homeless Jesus' Statue Gets Mixed Reviews In Indianapolis

A sculpture depicting Jesus as a homeless man sleeping on a park bench under a blanket has drawn the attention of many around the world.

There are more than a dozen “Homeless Jesus” statues by Canadian artist Timothy Schmalz around the world. Last month an Indianapolis church got one that is receiving mixed reviews.

Here & Now‘s Jeremy Hobson speaks with Rev. Dr. Andrew Scanlan-Holmes, senior pastor at the Roberts Park United Methodist Church, who dedicated the statue last month.
