Penn State Students Stand In Solidarity With University Of Missouri Students

Jack Lukow

In light of recent events at the University of Missouri, a group of Penn State University Park students rallied on the steps of the Old Main building yesterday.

Penn State students demonstrated in all black clothing to show their support for students at the University of Missouri. That school has been in upheaval in the past few weeks after recent acts of racism. Student protests have led the President and the Chancellor to step down.

Penn State student Rabi Jalloh is a member of several multi-cultural organizations and spoke at the protest.

“We need to show solidarity for our brothers and sisters in Missouri and just fight for ourselves and advocate for our people who are coming behind us and make sure they are in safe spaces in the future,” said Jalloh.

Jalloh says students should feel more comfortable voicing their opinions at universities like Penn State and Missouri.
