Scottish Independence Vote Too Close To Call

Polls are evenly divided as Thursday’s vote approaches on whether Scotland should end its over 300 year union with England.

Today British Prime Minister David Cameron makes one of his last trips to Scotland before the vote, to warn that there is no turning back if people vote “yes.” But thousands rallied in Glasgow yesterday for independence.

Tom Morton, a music presenter for BBC Radio Scotland, tells Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson he’s a firm “no” vote on independence. However, Morton says he’s worried even if Scotland stays part of the United Kingdom.

“I’m worried about what happens either way,” Morton said. “This is a divided country now. It’s a bitterly divided country, and there’s going to be a lot of unhappiness.”
