Our August Village Fair features Ted and Molly in addition to local food and artisans in our plaza for a festive afternoon.

The popular duo Ted + Molly features Ted McCloskey and his longstanding musical partner, Molly Countermine, who have been performing throughout Central Pennsylvania for more than 20 years. Molly’s voice covers a wide range of musical genres, from powerful rock to sultry blues vocals.

Etayehu Zenebe learned Ethiopian cuisine from her grandmother who worked in the Ethiopian palace for Halle Selassi I, emperor for Ethiopia from 1930-1974. At the elbow of her grandmother in the palace kitchen, Etayehu learned to use her senses to create unique, healthy and nourishing meals for her community. Etayehu is passionate about searching out the best local ingredients from area farms with a Zero Waste goal, and she believes strongly that Ethiopian food can be healthy, organic, and delicious.

Good Day Café will be selling desserts at our Village Fair. Located in State College’s Hamilton Plaza, Good Day Café brews more than just award-winning coffee and treats – they brew opportunity by providing meaningful employment to adults with disabilities. Good Day Café believes that everyone deserves a chance to contribute to their community, to become more independent, and to feel like they matter.

Tubular Gear creates handmade products made from re-purposed bicycle inner tubes, working with local bike shops to collect their tubes and turning them into useful, usable, and unique goods. Tubular Gear was founded in 2015 as a way to create useful products from materials that would have otherwise been sent to landfills.

Amy Ritter of AMRitter Artistries presents original paintings, home decor, hand painted blank note cards, painted clocks, and more. A portion of Amy’s sales are donated to help a local nonprofit organization, The Mommy Shoppe, and its mission to help families clothe their children.

Emily Schwans, the “local plant lady” is multiplying her collection and sharing with us at our Village Fair. She uses recycled materials to pot her houseplants and will bring a variety to sell to our customers.
