Spring is almost here – let’s prepare to get outside! Join Centred Outdoors for an engaging talk on gearing up for outdoor adventures, staying safe on the trail, and finding inspiration in the natural world around us. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or just beginning to explore the outdoors, this conversation will equip you with knowledge, confidence, and motivation to get outside and enjoy the natural spaces that make our region special.
How to Prepare:
- Registration: RSVPs are appreciated for this event (but not required)
- Arrival: Please arrive 10–15 minutes early so the program can begin promptly.
Exciting News:
Centred Outdoors has a new team member we’re happy to introduce! Dave Gantz has joined ClearWater Conservancy as the Centred Outdoors Assistant Program Coordinator and will be sharing his knowledge at the Spring Adventure Prep Session.
About the Presenter:
With extensive experience in outdoor advocacy, education and recreation, Dave supports the Centred Outdoors mission of promoting a community that continually visits, enjoys, and cares for our natural assets. Dave first moved to Centre County after earning his B.S. degree in Biology from Commonwealth University - Bloomsburg in 2004 and has since lived throughout the country working with organizations including the Montana Conservation Seedling Nursery, Patagonia, Maine Appalachian Trail Club, Appalachian Outdoors, Purple Lizard Maps, Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council, and Penn State University. Having explored thousands of miles on foot throughout the country, Dave is knowledgeable on all things outdoor recreation related.
