The Elk Township Historical Society invites you to the restored Scandia one-room school. Visit during open house the second Saturday of each month thru October. Kids can sit at original desks, write on a lap slate with chalk and experience school as it was in the "old days". View 100 years of records that include class photos and teacher pay. Adjacent is a museum with tools and kitchen items used by folks on the early family farms. We have shelves of records including Elk Township residents by road name and lots of photos.
