The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County will cut the ribbon on a new solar electricity system on December 21, coinciding with the winter solstice. The 25 kilowatt system will produce enough energy to completely offset the Fellowship’s annual electricity use, making it a “Zero-Electricity” church. Additionally, UUFCC will serve as a living lab for people to learn more about solar electricity. The ceremony will take place at the UUFCC beginning at 10:45am. Mayor Ezra Nanes will speak. The public is invited to attend and stay for food and refreshments afterward.
