Playwriting Workshop: How to Start
Playwriting Workshop: How to Start
If you’ve ever acted in plays or even just been in the audience for one and thought, “I have a great idea for a play,” this is the workshop for you. In two hours, we’ll tackle the biggest component of playwriting - conflict - and you’ll learn about the difference between conversation and dialogue. You’ll be writing your own scenes and rewriting others, and you get to hear your words in the mouths of others, which is one of the great joys of playwriting. You’ll hopefully leave this workshop with a good notion of how you might move forward with an idea you have or an idea you come up with during our time together, and some of the tools to make this happen.
What to bring: Pen and paper or a charged laptop for writing, along with a willingness to write and participate!
No experience necessary!
