Welcome to *your* park! Penn’s Prairie Park (pennsprairie.com) is a 165‑acre community park just outside Centre Hall, and after many years of steady work, it’s finally beginning to come into its potential. We now have pavilions, a playground, picnic tables, a fire pit, a kestrel box installed by Shaver’s Creek (with chicks banded annually!), a bike skills course, disc golf, athletic fields, a StoryWalk, and now at last, a newly designated 4‑acre Pollinator Parcel.

Styled as a big ol' family picnic, we’ve invited county, township, borough, and state representatives, as well as local organizations. Bring your friends and family, a blanket and chairs, a picnic, if you want! Leashed dogs are welcome too. We’ll also have two food trucks, a bluegrass band, a face painter, and demos from bike skills and disc golfers, a fire truck, and Smokey the Bear. Froggy 101 will be on site from noon to 2 as well, with Mr. Froggy himself. Attendance could be a couple hundred… or just us die‑hards, depending on the weather; but we’re planning for a lively day.
