Join us for an evening of music including the Penn State Concert Band and Symphonic Band. Concert Band will feature a variety of pieces highlighting the vitality of the modern wind band. Following Concert Band’s portion of the concert, the Penn State Symphonic Band will perform following intermission and feature works spanning from 1734 to 2023. Join us as we perform music inspired by Bach, Dylan Thomas, and African American Spirituals. The concert closes with Viet Cuong’s Deciduous. Cuong takes us on his journey of healing through various musical textures, while reminding us that every leafless winter is followed by a spring.
