Penn State Baroque Ensemble Concert

Penn State Baroque Ensemble Concert
The Penn State Baroque Ensemble will present a concert on Monday, February 21 at 7:30 PM in the Recital Hall of the Penn State School of Music. The program includes works by J.S. Bach and Georg Phillip Telemann. Admission is $4.50 for students and $12.50 for adults. The recital will be livestreamed on the Penn State School of Music's livestream page (musicmedia.psu.edu). Featured music includes movements from J.S. Bach’s Cantata 167, as well as his Brandenburg Concerto #6, plus two concertos by Telemann for four violins. Of particular interest will be our use of two viola da gambas, bowed string instruments that existed before the invention of the violin family. So come on out and hear music that is both beautiful and "viol"! Penn State requires that masks be worn in all University buildings and emphasizes its commitment to cleaning and ventilating its spaces. In addition, the School of Music will work to ensure the safety of its patrons by positioning contactless ticketing kiosks and hand-sanitizing stations throughout the venues.
