We'll have a special, close-to-home topic for our October meeting of the Nittany Mineralogical Society: "Geology Field Excursions in Central Pennsylvania" by our friend Dr. Charles Miller. As usual, it will be at the Boalsburg Fire Hall. Charlie's talks are always fun and packed with pictures and anecdotes. Social hour begins at 7 PM, official meeting at 7:45, and featured program at 8. The event has free admission, refreshments, and parking; minors must be supervised by parent/guardian. For more details see our website at www.nittanymineral.org.
