You, your family, and your friends are invited to Bald Eagle State Park to the Annual National Hunting and Fishing Day! No fishing/hunting license, equipment or experience needed. Join PA Fish and Boat Commission, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Penn State Cooperative Extension Staff for a fun and activity filled day.

Our partners and our staff provide the equipment, bait, and instruction needed to learn all of the activities shared below, for the duration of the program.😊

NOTE: Everyone attending the event must be registered using the registration link.

We will have random prize drawings. We will use the registered names received to draw the names the day of the program (Must be present to win!)

Details
What – A FREE program set-up to introduce you to the basics of fishing, archery, fish habitat building, and PA Wildlife!
When – Sunday, September 29, 2024 12p.m. – 4p.m. (must arrive between 11:30a.m. – 11:45a.m. to participate in the program)

We will get started at 12p.m. with a quick welcome, then everyone gets to rotate through the following activities! Random prize drawings will be done, just prior to the station rotations begin.

Station Rotation details: 30-40min rotations
• Fish habitat – Participants build fish habitat – Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) Habitat division staff
• Archery – Participants learn about archery, safety, and get to shoot at targets – Penn State Cooperative Extension – Paul McFarland
• Fishing – PFBC education staff and Waterway Conservation Officers
• Wildlife – DCNR Park Staff – They also offer a scavenger hunt for participants too young to participate in archery
