Free Screening of Speaking Grief
Free Screening of Speaking Grief
The community is invited to a free screening of the documentary Speaking Grief.
Speaking Grief explores how we can create a more grief-aware society by validating the experience of grievers and offering guidance to those who wish to support them. We’ve been taught that grief is taboo and that talking about it should be avoided at all costs. This outlook can create unnecessary pain and isolation. The reality is that grief is a healthy, natural, and universal experience with enormous potential for meaningful connection.
WPSU invites you to join Lindsey Whissel Fenton, creator of Speaking Grief and Learning Grief, along with a panel of community experts from the Jana Marie Foundation, TIDES and the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Penn State-University Park to learn how we can get better at grief. A complimentary reception will follow.
