The Elk Township Historical Society Community Picnic is Friday, August 19 at 6 p.m. Join your neighbors at the Pavilion behind the former Scandia School for this fun and free event at the four corners in Scandia.

We will have hot dogs, snacks and s’mores! All you might want to bring is your lawn chair. The popular penny sawdust pile will return for the youngsters, as well as yard games and the playground.

The little ones can ‘touch a tractor’ – bring your camera for the photo opportunity while they sit on the seat. You can pet Ruby, the spotted miniature donkey and see other farm animals who live in the neighborhood.
