Downtown Bellefonte, Inc. is hosting its annual Christmas tree lighting at the Gazebo in Bellefonte's Talleyrand Park. The Bellefonte Historical and Cultural Association will provide two musicians to accompany carol-singing by attendees before the tree lighting. Then, Dr. Ted Christopher will recite The Night Before Christmas immediately before the tree lighting at 6 p.m. There will be warm drinks, more Christmas music after the tree lighting, plenty of picture-taking, and other activities. It's a simple and inexpensive night out for families with children. Norman Rockwell would approve.
