Best Fest!
Best Fest!
Get ready for summer fun! The Wilder Museum of Warren County presents its first ever Best Fest on Saturday, June 22 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine, Pennsylvania.
Horse-drawn trolley rides will take guests around the area while the narrator regales them with tales of early Irvine. Local artisans will offer handcrafted pieces, and food vendors will provide delicious meals and tasty treats. A flea market to benefit the museum will allow visitors to find treasures while supporting local preservation efforts. Live music in the “old time” tradition of Scotland, Ireland, and Appalachia will entertain visitors, and performances by “Elvis” will delight fans of Rock ‘N’ Roll.
And for this one special day, entrance to the Wilder Museum will be free, with history-loving interpreters stationed throughout the building telling their stories. The museum, the largest in the area, houses over 4,000 artifacts of local history. Come hear about the ancient Native Americans who roamed these woods, learn about the tools and techniques used in early Warren industries, view the collection of fine antique weaponry, and enjoy a peek back in time to life in bygone eras.
Summer hours for the museum are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 1 – 5 PM.
