The 43rd Annual Strawberry Festival, sponsored by the Lemont Village Association, will be Saturday, June 7, 3 pm to 7 pm, Lemont Village Green, 133 Mt. Nittany Road, Lemont PA 16851, $10 for age 13-adult, $4 for children 5-12. We will be serving fresh strawberries from the Mark and Marla Kurtz farm, homemade cakes, Meyer Dairy Ice Cream, and Lemonade in ALL COMPOSTABLE tableware. We’ll have Lemont mugs for sale. There will be art activities by the Art Alliance of Central PA, “Speeder” rides by the Bellefonte Historic Railroad all afternoon, and tours of the 1885 Grain Elevator and Coal Sheds. Music by Richard Sleigh, harmonica virtuoso, from 3-5 pm, and by the band Blue Eyed Sally from 5-7 pm. We need lots of volunteers for easy jobs and to make or buy cakes to go with the strawberries and ice cream.
