Donald Trump's Campaign Is Low On Cash, But It Might Not Matter

By any conventional measure, Donald Trump’s campaign looks low on cash. It ended May with just $1.3 million on hand, after raising $3.1 million that month. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, raised $27 million in May and ended the month with $42 million in cash.

But, Trump’s visibility has saved him money on media he’d otherwise have to buy. NPR political reporter Danielle Kurtzleben joins Here & Now host Peter O’Dowd to discuss what these numbers mean for the presidential candidates.
