Cellist Ben Deighton will present a program of classical music on May 7 for the UUFCC Young Artist series. Ben has chosen the Global Giving Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund as the charity that will benefit from donations. Ben is a cello performance major at the University of Michigan. He recently won the concerto competition there and will perform with the University Philharmonic Orchestra next fall. While in high school in State College, he won the Nittany Valley Symphony's Ann Keller Concerto Competition twice and was also the winner of the Williamsport Symphony Young Artist Competition. He will be accompanied by his mother, pianist Ann Deighton.
