The Dixon-Costa Duo is Robyn Dixon Costa, oboe/English horn, and Anthony J. Costa, clarinet/bass clarinet. They have performed together for over 30 years throughout the U.S. and Europe. Both performers are faculty members of the Penn State School of Music. For this program they will be joined by pianist Ann Deighton, who collaborates with many Penn State and local musicians. The duo has an ongoing interest in promoting music for oboe and clarinet. For this program, they will perform the world premiere of a work by P. Brent Register, a Central Pennsylvania oboist and composer. The program will also include compositions by Andrey Rubstov, a Russian composer, and Daniel Dorff, an American composer.
