The library hosts a Ten Thousand Villages pop-up shop starting Saturday, November 18th and running during regular library hours through Tuesday, November 21st. Ten Thousand Villages sells home, kitchen, accessories, and holiday items created by artisans from around the world. With a commitment to fair trade wages and sustainable materials, Ten Thousand Villages offers holiday gift items you can feel good about. A portion of sales will be donated to the library. On Saturday, November 18th at 11 AM, Ten Thousand Villages presents a special storytime featuring a reading of One Plastic Bag: Isatou Cessay and the Recycling Women of Gambia by Miranda Paul. An accompanying craft project for the day will use upcycled plastic bags. This storytime is for all ages, but younger children will need help from an adult for the craft.
