String Music for Spring
The UUFCC Music Series will present "String Music for Spring" on Sunday, April 6 at 3 p.m. The performers will be Gregory Glessner, violin, Hannah Lin-Glessner, violin, and John Roxburgh, viola. Their program will celebrate the rich repetoire for violin and viola. Featured pieces will be the Handel-Halvorsen Passacaglia for violin and viola and Dvorak's Terzetto for two violins and viola. Gregory Glessner earned degrees in Violin Performance from Messiah College and Penn State. He teaches violin and viola here and owns Homestead Strings, a violin shop in State College. Hannah Lin-Glessner earned a BME degree from Penn State and a MM degree in Suzuki Pedagogy from Ithaca College. She teaches violin in. her private studio here and has taught in college, school, and community music programs. John Roxburgh is principal viola with the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra and Altoona Symphony Orchestra and performs with several other orchestras. He earned a MM degree in Viola Performance from Penn State and a DMA degree from Shenandoah University.
