The HUB-Robeson Galleries are excited to present Sticky Mirror, an exhibition of paintings by Sarah Sutton on view in Art Alley, February 3 – May 8, 2023. Sutton is an artist based in the Rochester, New York area who is interested in visual perception and speculative futures. Her paintings in monochromatic oil imagine in-between spaces, scalar fluidity, and what the artist calls psychic spaces, where the private and public realm collapse. Crawling across her canvases, the short-term comforts and long-term consequences collide, and the boundaries between histories and interspecies dissolve only to reappear unexpectedly.
