The Pre-K program at State College Friends School focuses on developing both social emotional skills and an introduction to academic concepts. We believe both serve to create a foundation of skills that children continue to build upon in Kindergarten and beyond. We do this in multi-age classrooms with intentional play-based learning that is centered around Quaker principles like community, stewardship, and peace building. Our curriculum aligns with PA standards and dives deeply into changing themes that engage the students interests like ocean, space and planets, life cycles, and more!
