Rico Gatson: Anderson Lecture Series Visiting Artist

Fall 2025 John M. Anderson Endowed Lecture Series presents:

Rico Gatson is a multimedia visual artist who explores themes of history, identity, popular culture, and spirituality through sculpture, painting, video, and public art. For over two decades, Gatson has been celebrated for politically layered works, often based on significant moments in Black history such as the Watts riots and the formation of the Black Panthers. He is a faculty member at the School of Visual Art in New York City and lives and works in New York.
