Recital by violinist Mark Minnich
Violinist Mark Minnich will present of lively program of classical music inspired by folk tunes from around the world as part of the UUFCC Music Series on Sunday, November 19. He will be joined by violinist Sally Williams Minnich, violist John Roxburgh, and cellist Jonathan Dexter. Their program will include violin duos by Bartok, a Heifetz arrangement of Deep River, and a set of Scandinavian folk tunes arranged by the Danish String Quartet. Mark Minnich is concertmaster of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and performs with the Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra and the Penn's Woods Festival Orchestra. He is also a member of the Allegria Ensemble and the violin duo Revamped. Mark is Orchestra Director and Strings Teacher at the Grier School and Strings Teacher of the Suzuki Program at the State College Music Academy. He holds degrees in Violin Performance from Bowling Green University and Penn State.
