Raystown Lake Cleanup Day

Raystown Lake Cleanup Day

The Friends of Raystown Lake and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) are calling on volunteers to participate in our annual shoreline cleanup at Raystown Lake scheduled for Saturday, May 7th, 2021 from 8AM-1PM at the Tatman Run Recreation Area (rain or shine). Each year, volunteers remove around 2,000 pounds of trash from the shoreline to enhance the health and beauty of our important water resource. Volunteers will be provided gloves, bags and will be treated to breakfast and lunch! Please wear closed-toe shoes, a hat, sunscreen and be prepared to work outside. We are especially in need of volunteer boats and operators to transport volunteers and bags of trash that will be collected. All interested volunteers should contact Park Ranger Jenna Conner at jenna.m.conner@usace.army.mil or by calling 814-658-6811.
